hi i also do higher english and for me i find flashcards for the quotes is very helpful but also breaking down ur critical essay into the most basic points makes it soooo much easier to remember. for ruae it's literally just past papers tho i fear. if u have any other tips feel free to share !

hi, i did higher last year. this post is about advanced higher so these do not really apply. sorry, but for higher i learnt quotes and did timed essay plans which was helpful - i would say that you shouldn’t learn a set amount of essays or memorise some, just make sure you have a strong grasp on your texts and you have a good bank of quotes set up. for ruae, i found looking at marking schemes helpful and making sure i was writing down more than enough for each question to ensure full marks. i’d also research ur set texts and try and find some secondary reading for them to help enhance your understanding xx
