Funeral that my parents think I shouldn't go to

Hello,
My Great-Aunt recently passed away and her funeral is soon.
I'm not sure on whether or not I should go. I haven't seen her in about 5 years and my parents think I shouldn't worry about going, however I feel like I should go from my grandmother's sake.
I was just wondering what everyone think.
Also sorry if this isn't irrelevant to what this platform is about but it was the best place to ask and it is under the family forum so I hoped it would be ok.
Thanks
It's really a personal decision. If you weren't close to her then don't feel obliged to, as I'm sure your grandmother will have other people supporting her there.

My kids didn't go to their great aunt or great uncle's funerals, or their uncle's funeral.

If there is no reason you shouldn't go....like you have school or college or work....then go.
Would you regret not going? If YOU want to, then why not.

Please go, if you can. It is a way to show your respect.
