Edinburgh chance?
Hi,
I’m in grade 11 (year 12) doing the IB . I’m an international student , and I want to study biochemistry or pharmaceutical science in a nice UK uni, and I’ve been really wanting to go to Edinburgh.
I have looked at entry requirements, and I’m on track to meet ( and potentially excel) them, even at standard offer (38-39) points. I take all the required subjects at HL, and getting good grades !!! ( I always get top marks in bio!🫶)
My issue is , I got As and an A* at Igcse , but I got a C in maths, as I took core (foundation in the UK) . UoE requires a minimum of a B. I’m retaking maths this summer , at extended (higher tier ) to hopefully get an A and above . I know this is likely to make me a less competitive applicant, but do I still have a good chance to apply if I got an A and above in the retake ? Thank you. 💗💗
