Student accommodation parking sheffield

Hi everyone ,I’m due to start Sheffield Hallam in September ,I’ve applied for the forge ,the pinnacles and LIV and I’ll be a nursing student . I’m 25 have my own car and would like to bring it for placements ,I also have a long term illness so having my car would be suitable for things like hospital visits . I’ve asked for a parking spot in my accommodation request but if I don’t get one I was wondering if anyone had found any long term parking within a 10 minute walk of the accommodation either car parks or private parking thankyou

It may be beneficial to talk to current students who also commute here Chat to students | Sheffield Hallam University https://share.google/WoJlAubSmnuMxekpY. There's some carparks around the city centre who will let u pay for a reserved spot, one is near Decathlon I think, there is a carpark on Ecclesall Road that you can pay for 24hrs and potentially contact them to have longer. I also recommend u download the Twinpay, PaybyPhone and NCP app. Don't forget to get yourself a bus pass, they're free!

LIV doesnt have accommodation related parking (if you end up at LIV) , but there are plenty of private carparks nearby- only downside is it'll be very expensive.

In Manchester, I found https://voxcasino.me.uk. The slots are dynamic, and the graphics are top-notch! Generous welcome bonuses set me up nicely, and payouts arrived quickly via bank cards. The SSL-secure platform was reassuring, and 24/7 support was superb. For Brits, this casino delivers exciting spins and huge win potential. The user-friendly design and engaging features keep you hooked for hours!

Hanging out at a local joint in Yaba while the generator hummed away made me want some quick entertainment on my phone. A buddy from the university told me that trying out Pinup https://pinup-online.ng/ casino is definitely the smartest move for reliable mobile gaming. I placed a few quick bets on a live roulette table and was completely amazed when I hit a fantastic multiplier right off the bat. The absolute best part was watching my winnings drop directly into my PalmPay account in less than five minutes without any stressful network glitches. It is so refreshing to finally find a platform that actually respects Nigerian players and delivers on its promises instantly.

Hi! Congrats on starting at Sheffield Hallam 😊
Parking near student accommodation in the city centre can be quite limited/expensive, especially around Forge, Pinnacles and LIV. A few things that may help:

Some students rent private parking spaces through apps/websites like JustPark or YourParkingSpace often cheaper than public car parks for long-term use.

There are also a few apartment buildings/private landlords nearby who rent spare parking bays monthly.

If you have a medical condition, it may be worth contacting the accommodation team directly again and explaining your circumstances in more detail, as they can sometimes take this into consideration when allocating spaces.

For placements, many nursing students do bring cars, so you definitely won’t be the only one needing one.

Worst case, some students keep their car slightly further out and use public transport/walk when they don’t need it daily, but hopefully they can accommodate you given your situation.
Good luck with starting nursing Sheffield Hallam has a great reputation for it!

Hi there!

The Pinnacles is close to Victoria Quays car park, you can pay for a weekly pass for £17.50 or a monthly pass at £60. I did this at my placement, I could also enter and exit the carpark multiple times a day which was helpful for an evening trip to Lidl or Meadowhall. The company that manages it also has several other carparks arround Sheffield, so it may be worth looking at those too.

As others have previously stated there are private carparks near Decathlon where you can also pay for a monthly pass. There is also a groupchat for commuter students, they will know all the tips and tricks for parking near our collegiate campus!

Hope this helps,

Lana - SHU Student Ambassador
