ATAS serious question

There’s a section in the ATAS application regarding if I have undertaken an undergraduate/postgraduate studies.

I am currently still doing my undergraduate/BEng study and applying for ATAS to switch to MEng one.

The issue is that some sources say that if I am still undergoing my undergraduate course then I shouldn’t put information about my undergraduate studies because I haven’t completed it.

But some sources say I need to put in information about my undergraduate studies such as expected graduation date and qualifications awarded.

It doesn’t make sense because I need to fill in what qualifications I am awarded but obviously I havent finished it so I dont have a qualification yet.

The university said that I should say ‘no’ in this section but my friends filled it in and they got their ATAS.

Should I say no? Will it cause issues for the visa decision etc?
Do you have it in writing from your university to put “no”?

“You do not need to put anything about your undergraduate course because you have not completed it.”

Thats what they said

It just seems weird to me since my friends didnt say ‘no’ but still end up getting their ATAS.

Does it mean that they wont really regard it highly as other sections/informations?

The page at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/academic-technology-approval-scheme gives an email address for application enquiries (here). It would be better to contact them and ask than to rely on input from random people on the internet.

Who did you ask at your university? The only people you should be asking for things like this are the team that deal with student visas -- they're the people that have the training on visa issues. (I know ATAS isn't a visa per se, but it's related to your permission to study in the UK.)
