Look at the key words of the assignment and understand them (google them if you have too!), often for distinctions you will have to analyse, compare, justify and most importantly evaluate!
•
Look at the specifications for each assignment and use it as a guideline of what to include!
•
Look at model answers and compare them to yours, this could help you find what's missing and show you how to evaluate or justify e.t.c.
•
Use media such as youtube or student websites to learn about your module and how to do the assignment to the standard of a distinction!
•
Ask teachers to go through your work, ask them what's missing or what you could do better! If this feels scary (which is completely fine!) Just give them an email with your work attached!
