Hello!

I am sorry to hear about your anxiety and hope your doing well! Well done for working so hard!

Here are some things you could do!:

Look at the key words of the assignment and understand them (google them if you have too!), often for distinctions you will have to analyse, compare, justify and most importantly evaluate!

Look at the specifications for each assignment and use it as a guideline of what to include!

Look at model answers and compare them to yours, this could help you find what's missing and show you how to evaluate or justify e.t.c.

Use media such as youtube or student websites to learn about your module and how to do the assignment to the standard of a distinction!

Ask teachers to go through your work, ask them what's missing or what you could do better! If this feels scary (which is completely fine!) Just give them an email with your work attached!

Hope this helps! Good luck!

I'm doin my second year in btec applied sci now. U need to balance it all out like get distinction in all the assignment base units and then merit in exams or pass. If you do that in first year then u won't have to worry alot in year 2.
To get distinction in your assignment- If your teacher give u checklist answer each bullet point and go through brief to see if have answer all the stuff. Even if u have not written enough then u can get resubmission for what u was missing or need to write more about. Also look at other people assignment online who got distinction it will help you to layout ur assignment and know what u need to do.
If u getting passes in your assignment then u need to aim for distinction in the exams which will balance it out for your target grade if that make sense.
You can also calculate your end of grade by wiring what u think u will get and what u need to do to get DDD.

Hi, I get you I know it's hard to ask for help from your teacher and I had the same issue but if you have a friend or someone in your school that is supportive and is there to support you then they can always help to ask the teacher for resources. But for coursework, if you go onto studocu where students post example btec work, use that to guide yourself on how to write the assessment. My tip is that with BTEC coursework there is no word limit so include as much as possible and lots of as possible, AI is useful now to tell you what to include by giving it your coursework and specifications to mark it (but don't use it to generate your work as you can get in trouble with that), but yeah I know it is hard but trust once you complete this than you're able to find the rest of the coursework easy.

Hiya, I will be honest you kind of already need to be getting a few distinctions to meet your target goal, maybe this course isn't right for you? I know so many people that do well in exams but struggle with coursework, have you gotten personal feedback from your teachers? Another way could be maybe you can buy some assignments online and look how it's structured to meet your target grade?
