Went for a viewing today and they said everything will be done by next week. I'm gonna get a room there and spaces are filling up so would hurry. Seems lovely though has has 2 storey gym, large kitchen, cinema room, study area and it is a brand new build so clean and the staff seem to be quite nice. Also like 2 mins walk or less to the library and town centre.

Hey did you receive the email saying it won’t be available to move into? I’m trying to figure out if it’s true or not as it came from the uni and I haven’t had any contact from the accommodation itself

At least you got an answer, I keep getting “she’ll be in contact with you shortly”.

Keele doesn't really know what is going on either it seems. The information they have is limited so everyone is just waiting. They told me they are in a meeting and will get back to me ASAP but the ASAP is not ASAPing like I am just hoping that this gets sorted. I feel like it may be due building requirements or something so when I went it was basically ready. So we are all just praying and hoping ngl

I feel like its for people that are moving on the 15th August. They've put an open day on their website for later this month so it can't be that we're not moving into it. That being said anything could happen.

I was planning to move into DKY as well, however they just sent an email saying that they won't take anyone for the foreseeable future. Does anyone know the date it will be able to take people in?

If we stayed in the temporary Keele university accomodation, how would we know it isn't just temporary because it could be permanent.

This has been so stressful, not sure what to do.

Tbh, they do not seem sure of when they will be able to move students in; however, they said you can wait till the end of august by replying to the email to let them know that you will wait for confirmation of whether move-in will happen or not. Nobody knows the date that will be, sadly, so we all have to either wait till the end of August, or you can request to get your money back and look somewhere else.

I'm going to take my chances and wait it out till they next contact us on 25th August. They've uploaded videos on YouTube showing the place is completed so I'm not worried about that. It could be some last minute things they need to sort out. It's definitely affected the people that were supposed to move in today but I feel like they'll move people in at a later date e.g., September onwards.

Doing the same as well! Went there a couple weeks ago and it was basically done so hoping for the best!

I'm gonna ask them to hold onto my room and wait until the end of August cos when I went there it was literally done so i think it is all paperwork and the freeholder they are waiting on
