Laet 2025

hiii i just wanted to ask anyone who is enrolling at laet to question how the conditional offer system works. I was offered an interview and overall it went great, and i’m taking like less popular a levels (geography turkish psychology english lit) and my predicted grades aren’t like the best (877777766) so i was going to ask if the conditional offers and given out based primarily on grades or would subject combination affect it, like since i’m taking less valued a levels would that give me a higher chance? Also, if i wasn’t to get a conditional offer would i still have a chance on getting into the school on results day? oh and like if i was to somehow out perform in my gcses and get much higher can i just pull up

Current student here, a conditional offer entitles you to a spot at the school on the condition that you at least achieve what grades you applied with. This was a bit different with me because I underperformed in a couple gcses but outdid a couple more, so it sort of balanced out but slightly on the lower side (average 7.5). My predicted gcses were 999887777765 and I chose initially Maths Econ CompSci and Politics, which are reasonably popular subjects. On results day I was placed in the 3rd group and when I got to final stages, econ and compsci just filled up.

You have all the way until enrolment day final stage to change your subject combination, but ofc this depends on your grades and also if the subjects arent already full.

If you dont get a conditional offer, you are placed in the last group for enrolment day, and your options will be heavily restricted.

when you say filled up, do you mean that there was no spaces available at all?

Also, did everyone in the people in the third group get accepted or was there a lot which were rejected (talking about the people who were in the group and met the grade requirements for the subjects they wanted to do btw).

Sorry for all the questions but also when you got to the final stages during enrolment day were there any subjects which were completely filled up or was there still space for all of them? Do you think being in group 3 will give me a good chance to get accepted and choose the subjects i want? (economics, maths, geography)

Yes. there was no space for the subject.

There were people with me in the 3rd group and I see them in school so yeah they did

Econ is the only in demand subject I believe you have. Id say you have a fair chance of being able to enroll with those 3
