Yes it was A to B , accidentally did clockwise first so double triple checked , if it’s not I deserve to be put on foundation

thank god, i thought that was gonna be the two marks to break me. i think i got 75/80 cause ik somewhere i have to have lost marks

ah i realised what i did, i somehow got the same probabilities for both the sum being even, and the product being even, both being 32/72. Still got that he was wrong tho so maybe a few marks

I got that as well - my mistake was to assume that even × anything (1) is the probability for the product being even, but forgot about what would happen if it was the second ball that was even not the first. Probably should've done 1-probability of two odd balls... idk if u did the same as me 😅😂

i think you could’ve done 270 degrees clockwise and it would’ve been the same thing

yhh but they was also saying 90 degrees clcokwise

am I the only one who thought the paper was actually kind of difficult

am I the only one who thought the paper was actually kind of difficult

some ppl def thought it was hard probably cs there was so many 5 markers so if they didn’t know how to answer it they would’ve lost so many marks together, but i thought it was really good

It was really weirdly formatted so yeah definetly an unusual one , similar to how I felt about AQA Bio, it feels hard mainly because of the 10 or so past papers you’ve done then being completely different to what you get

Does anyone think there's gonna be a circle theorem proof question this year? I hate the idea of memorising and regurgitating these so much and I don't want to have to put too much effort into doing so if I can use that to focus on everything else instead.

considering it wasnt in paper 1 im pretty sure it will be for the next 2 best of luck... geometry will be a huge part for the next paper(s)

1st class maths stated it only came up 9% of all the GCSE papers so you should still revise it as it could come up this year as it has a low frequency rate.

what comes under geometry

practically anything involving shapes. trig, scale factors, circle theorems, pythagoras, vectors, transformations, area and volume etc

what comes under geometry

🔺 1. Properties and Constructions

Angles:

Angles on a straight line, around a point, vertically opposite

Angles in triangles and quadrilaterals

Parallel line angle rules (alternate, corresponding, etc.)

Triangles and Quadrilaterals:

Types and properties

Interior and exterior angle sums

Polygons:

Sum of interior and exterior angles

Regular polygons

Congruence and Similarity:

Proving triangles congruent (SSS, SAS, ASA, RHS)

Similar shapes and scale factors

Constructions and Loci:

Constructing triangles using a ruler and compasses

Perpendicular bisectors, angle bisectors

Locus of points

Plans and Elevations

📐 2. Mensuration and Calculation

Perimeter and Area:

Rectangles, triangles, parallelograms, trapeziums

Compound shapes

Circles:

Area and circumference

Parts of circles: radius, diameter, arc, sector, segment

Calculating arc length and area of a sector

Surface Area and Volume:

Cuboids, prisms, cylinders

Cones, spheres, pyramids

Compound 3D shapes

Units and Conversions:

Metric unit conversions (mm, cm, m, km)

Area and volume conversions (cm² to m², cm³ to m³, etc.)

🔄 3. Transformations

Translations (moving a shape)

Reflections (mirror line)

Rotations (centre of rotation, direction, degrees)

Enlargements (scale factor, centre of enlargement positive/negative/fractional)

Describing transformations

Combinations of transformations

🔘 4. Geometry of the Circle (Higher Tier mainly)

Circle Theorems:

Angle at the centre = 2 × angle at the circumference

Angles in the same segment

Angle in a semicircle = 90°

Cyclic quadrilateral (opposite angles sum to 180°)

Tangents from a point are equal

Radius meets tangent at 90°

Alternate segment theorem

Proof using circle theorems

📊 5. Vectors and Geometric Proof (Higher Tier)

Vector notation and operations

Vector diagrams

Geometric proofs using vectors

geometry big one for sure percentages simultaneous equations learn the quadratic ones too and more just think about the ones u did today and the things that didnt pop up

Vectors and Trig and if I had to guess the final question on one will be a diabolical circle theorem question

I wrote 210 I believe but they do give you like a range so i think I'll be fine tbh

that was a probability so it had to be a fraction i got 13/40

how about the b part of question? After 10 chocolates were eating would your answer be change?

I said it wouldn’t change because amount of white and dark stays the same. It could be wrong tho I was rushing at that point

same but we forgot to simplify it to 5/33 😭

i think i forgot, do you remember the exact numbers? im ******* terrible at recurring decimals
