am I the only one who thought the paper was actually kind of difficult

alot of people at my school found it confusing. I know i did ok bc of working out 🙂 aka a grade 6

Reply 608

for the first question i wrote the answer as 3 x 2 instead of 6 do you think i’d still get the two marks

It depends on country how they found it. it acts as an average. only a certain number of people can get 9s and 8s exc

what's xy? x=0.2... y=0.68181...

work out 0.2 reocurring aka x=0.2222. 10x=2.222 10x-x=9x=2 2/9.

y = 0.6818181 1000x= 681.8181 100x= 68.18181

900x = ans

2/9 x ans/900 which would get your answer where you would need to simplify

yhh but they was also saying 90 degrees clcokwise

But you had to rotate from the shape on the right which means its 90* anticlockwise.

I got that as well - my mistake was to assume that even × anything (1) is the probability for the product being even, but forgot about what would happen if it was the second ball that was even not the first. Probably should've done 1-probability of two odd balls... idk if u did the same as me 😅😂

it was 52/72 for the product and 32/72 for the sum
