No worry, you will get the point for the correct rotation.

I swear the last one was -5/12

I got that the first time I did it but I'd made a mistake with the negative numbers in the 3hg(x) part (or whatever it was)

Reply 663

I am probably getting like 54/80 which is grade 7/8

Reply 664

Worst case I calculated I'd get 69 hehe

There is a circle theorem question every year. You can check 1st class maths for the frequency of each topic per exam series! But be ready for anything! 😊

I absolutely agree that you should revise everything for GCSE Mathematics. This is because it is often the case that everything on the specification will be assessed in some way. For instance it could be a major focus of a question such as trigonometry or it could be a smaller part of a bigger question, for instance some triangles with algebra which may require you to apply the rules about triangles, general algebra knowledge and potentially even set up an equation.

I hope this helps in some way.

It'll be a lot easier to get a 6 on Higher so you already have a good chance. Apart from that use the Past Series Appearance column here to choose which topics to revise, starting with those over 90% and working your way down to the less frequent ones. https://www.1stclassmaths.com/edexcelrevision. You have 3 exams left and still a few weeks to do as much revision as you can before you lift your pen off the paper in that final exam, you got this and good luck!

Hello,

It is absolutely correct that it is much easier to get a higher grade on the Higher papers. The key is to include all of your working out, too much is better than too little! This is because, according to my GCSE Maths teacher if you got every answer right but did not show any working out you would get a Grade 3, but if you show all your working out and get every answer wrong it is possible to get a Grade 7/8.

I hope this helps.

The point is when u use tracing paper and find the point where you can rotate the shape I think it was like (-1,0) cannot remember though

Ikk - like roughly cus I rlly want a grade 9 but it seems as though everyone found it easy so the grade boundaries might push me down to an 8 :frown:(!!

That depends how all the exam papers together go, so it's not something you will know until August - this is something you need to accept not knowing for the next 2 months
