student finance query

Hello,
I have a few queries about student finance.
1. if i choose not to apply for student finance (maintenance loan or tuition fee loan), does that mean i can't apply for it in the second year.
2. could i ask for tuition fees loan or maintenance loan during the academic year, like 1/2 way in or am i expected to plan my financial situation for the whole year.
3.Can I change the amount of my maintenance loan after applying, or am I stuck with my initial decision?
4.If my household income changes significantly mid-year, can my maintenance loan be adjusted?
5. can i take out only a maintenance loan and not tuition fee loan.

Thank you for your reply

One more question.
My university allows me to change into a placement year before my second year, will that affect my student finance for my 3rd and 4th year. Is there any affect if i do chose a placement year later on?
in the application so far, t asked for my course, i put done the 4 year course with no placement option, because that what i applied for in UCAS, should i keep it the same in my SFE application?

Hi there,

Can you confirm you nationality, age and if you hold any qualifications currently?
When is your course due to start? Is the course full time or part time?

Thanks,
Claire

Hi there,

You can amend your course or loan amount at anytime. If you are expecting to do a course with a placement year, you can apply for the course. If you decide not to do a placement year but then wish to change this nearer the time, you can amend this via your account. Thanks, Jason
