Should I apply

I got all 8s/9s GCSES all A*’s in my A-levels and predicted all A*s I’ve done 8 essay competitions and gone on summer courses relating to my course (econ) done lots of work experience and attend after school economics extensions. Do I have a chance of getting in to unis like UCL/oxbridge/LSE or should I just not apply, my parents think I won’t get in and so there’s no point in applying and I should just essentially aim lower

You’re clearly a student who has gone above and beyond so you stand a really great chance! At the end of the day, there’s absolutely no harm in applying to those top unis, so definitely give it a go

Which degree subject do you want to apply for? 😧

Because you have excellent grades and should have a decent chance of being shortlisted for interview.

Yes, you have a chance. I am sorry that your parents are not being supportive.

these are very good stats definitely apply! im currently in ox and got a/a*/bs in gcse, and a*/a/a in a level, and didnt do as many essay comps and things as you! theres no point 'aiming lower' for your top choice - just make sure you apply to a variety just in case (e.g. one oxbridge, two high russel, one low russel, one non russel). since theres only one application fee it makes no sense not to apply for oxbridge if you have good grades.
