What are your favourite things about spring?

Dearest friends,
the seasons have changed, the waistcoats abandoned and the daffodils are in full bloom.

From you have I been absent in the spring,
When proud-pied April, dressed in all his trim,
Hath put a spirit of youth in everything,
That heavy Saturn laughed and leaped with him.
Yet nor the lays of birds, nor the sweet smell
Of different flowers in odour and in hue,
Could make me any summer’s story tell,
Or from their proud lap pluck them where they grew:
Nor did I wonder at the lily’s white,
Nor praise the deep vermilion in the rose;
They were but sweet, but figures of delight
Drawn after you, you pattern of all those.
Yet seem’d it winter still, and, you away,
As with your shadow I with these did play.
~Sonnet 98, Shakespeare

So pray, do tell, what are your favorite things about spring?

Agreed. Sun shining over nature, not so gloomy anymore

Waking up and it being light outside :h:
Taking the lining out of my coat is one of the top things (not quite there with that next year) and having light evenings again!

(Also, true to the username, the end of the rugby season and all the knockout matches and trophies being won!)

the light evenings where it wont get dark at like 5pm and the longing for summer and knowing that it is near and school can be done for another 6 weeks
my NOT favourite thing however is hayfever.
i also like seeing wild dasies pop up everywhere it makes me smile 🤭
I like the prospering flowers around and the warmer weathers at spring. These two things mean that winter is over and that in turn makes me happy.

Sometimes I wish our end-of-year break was in Spring

I would say weather. Wild life and like it gives the opportunity to start that summer preparation of planting. Every time you hear the birds charm whether that’s sunrise or sunset you know that’s summer coming. Longer days ahead more daylight. Feels warm still breezy here and there but warm. Start of sports season, I play with my friends football we have a intensive session each week just feels awesome love my football ❤️⚽️

i'm honestly not a huge fan of spring because here it means the start of the mosquito season, very humid days (this week is predicted to be about 27 degrees celsius of higher), and lots of rain. but 1 thing i do like is because of the rain i don't have to water the plants outside so that's a bonus
