Can you apply for medicine whilst studying on a foundation year

I have an offer for the university of Southampton it’s 6 years with the first year being a foundation year. I want to live close to home so I would like to apply again in the first term to London unis. Is this possible?

You have to ask the universities concerned whether they’ll consider this.
It may affect your funding eligibility.

It might be better to ask about transferring into the final 2 years. Historically London universities would accept some students from oxford/Cambridge after preclinical years because there weren’t sufficient clinical places at their local hospitals (I have a feeling this isn’t the case anymore but there may still be the option for transferring at that stage).
