Liverpool or Leeds for diagnostic radiography?

Hey all,

I have offers to study diagnostic radiography in Liverpool and Leeds. I love both cities and I can't wait to start the course. I'm torn between the two cities and universities, so if anyone can offer insight on what it's like to live/study at Liverpool and Leeds that would be amazing!

As a first year at LJMU, I absolutely love Liverpool! The night life is literally built for students with discounts and student bars across the city center! There is also so many cute cafes and study areas for you to do all your work at while the environment is calm ☺️ the people within the city are lovely and it’s such a lively atmosphere even during the day!

I would also take into consideration how far away from home you are, the cost of travelling home etc and what type of student life you want!

I genuinely love Liverpool and there is so much that happens around the city, from walks in the park to famous artists doing concerts!

In terms of the course and future employment, it doesn't matter where you study as the courses are held to the same standards by the HCPC. Consider the placement locations and timings. Some unis use up a lot of the standard uni holidays for placements so it is worth asking for a copy of this year's timetable (for all years of the course) to compare. Then look at accommodation availability and costs (again for all three years), and look at the societies/clubs on offer at each uni. Both cities have a lot to offer socially so you have two good options. :smile:
