Failed to submit one assessment and now about to fail another module

Hi. So long story short, I was having an extremely bad year2, all things went out of control after semester 1. I failed to submit one option module’s course work and managed to submit the rest after that. However the one I just submitted wasn’t really good sadly, as im still struggling and missed most of the tutorials. So basically I’m looking to fail 2 modules in my year2, one optional on core. Which in total is 60 credits/120. I spoke to student advice and they said they can’t talk about my progression until I have the marks on 19th June, but it’s stressing me out because the next year is placement year and I need to apply for internships etc. so I’m really confused of whether I’m going to need to retake the whole year or i can do referral in the summer…. Does anyone know in this case would I be able to be offered referral for both modules?
Thank you!!!

Hello,

Hope you're okay! I understand how stressed you may be in this situation!

You may be able to do a referral depending on how the exam boards interpret your situation and what your year 1 modules were like. However, because you failed 60 credits you may have to resit!

My advice to you would be this:
I would advise you submit a mitigating circumstances form explaining any reasons that caused you not to pass such as mental health, stress or any absences, document how you have made efforts by talking to the student team and i would also suggest you reach out to your personal tutor or module leaders/any staff that may be able to help you, explain your situation and ask them for advice!

Hope this helps!
