I need serious help! There are no revision websites or resources out there for this exam board for geography and I really want to get all 9s in my GCSEs but with the way geography is looking, I need serious amounts of help. 1. How do you revise for geography. The content is genuinely overwhelming and I feel exhausted. What for example website and/or textbooks do you use? 2. How do I answer the question (e.g. the 12 marks (4 SPAG), 6 marks, 8 marks, and even the 3/4 mark question) - so basically everything.
That's all for now but if I have anymore questions I'll ask

For the textbook I used this
For the 12 markers you need to chose what you think the best options are and justify them whilst also being synoptic and acknowledging that your options aren't perfect.
The 8 marks you either need to analyse or say whether you agree or disagree with a statement and you need to use Chains of Reasoning.
I can't remember much about the 6 or 3/4 markers sorry. :frown:

Sort of but it's more in-depth and I need 3 country's so like for the trade, aids and I saw a question was to ask me the pattern of import and export of a country I studied but I need to provide the figures myself 😭

For the 6/4 markers always try use a case study linked to the topic as it puts you into a higher band, i usually get 3/3 on three markers , what i usually do is lots of past paper questions and simply looking at markschemes as youll get to a point you just relise the exam technique its asking for

NIC- newly industrilised country use -mumbai india
LIC - Low income country - use Mali or Liberia these are alos examples for aid,
E.g in liberia- short term aid was from Oxfam and Action aid for the 2014 Ebolea Outbreak in west africa
Long term aid- from water aid in mali
HIC- high income country- Use Uk impact of globalisation on peopleof the uk.
exports and Imports I revised the trading blocs and like EU and fair trade for example coco bean farmings and tarriff for chocolate.

Don't rely on key topics that haven't come up. Last year, desertification was on Paper 2 which had already come up on Paper 1. One of the Geography teachers got so annoyed they persuaded the Geography GCSE (for current Year 10s and onwards) to switch to AQA.

Anything could come up still but Desertification (Paper 2 last year) and whatever come up in Paper 1 are less likely to come up.
