attendance

i am a first year who, due to things such as depression etc, has abysmal attendence and has turned in very few assignments. i have barely enough attendance to acoid attendance meetings.

i am turning my life around now but i need to know how screwed am i? i feel sick to my stomach thinking i could get told not to come back next year.

If the university hasn't contacted you about you attendance, then it's likely not an issue. What's much more likely to be an issue is the fact that you've "turned in very few assignments".

Surely the university have contacted you about this? Have they provided any details about being given another opportunity to be assessed? If you don't avail yourself of any such opportunity you risk failing one or more modules, which might jeopardise your ability to progress to second year.

If the university hasn't contacted you about all the missed assignments, then contact them. Given your mental health issues, you can potentially claim extenuating circumstances - but you need to act. Contact the Students' Union for guidance if you don't know where to start with all this.

Agreed. Although I'm slightly confused as to how you're passing your modules if you've "turned in very few assignments". Have those assignments not counted towards your module marks?
