Pharmacy 2025

Hi, can anyone offer any words of advice to help me choose where to firm and insurance for MPharm! Currents have offers at Manchester (AAB), Newcastle (AAB) and Reading (ABB). Anyone on these courses or even just at the unis, could you let me know a bit of your experience? Thanks xx

Hi there @Ldi802070 ,

It is great to hear that you are considering the University of Reading to study Pharmacy 🙂 Reading is a great choice with lots of benefits, but it is important to weigh up all of your options and decide which uni is the best fit for you! You can find detailed information on the Mpharm course here. This includes information such as opportunities to pick optional modules, placement modules and extra info on the course itself such as the structure, careers and general overview.

I have really enjoyed my first 2 years at Reading and I can give you my insights based on my personal experience! The Reading campus is my favourite aspect, the Whiteknights lake is lovely, with so much green space and lots of ducks! 🙂 There is also lots of modern facilities and study spaces which makes it a very supportive and student-friendly environment, making it helpful to adjust to university life!

From my experience, the support at Reading for students is excellent. Academic tutors are very helpful and there is lots of info on extra support which is available to students, such as mental health, career advice and employability workshops which can help you to develop your skills needed for your chosen career path! The campus has a friendly atmosphere and there is always someone to help if you need it! As a whole, there are lots of societies and clubs to get involved in, which made making friends an easy process and also gives you the opportunity to get involved in extra-curricular activities at low or little cost!

The town centre of Reading is also very nice, with lots of shops and restaurants. The buses are frequent, and the station has great connections to London.

As a whole, it is important to make a list and weigh up your options. Considering the course content, placement opportunities, campus etc will help to inform your choice!

Do let us know if you have any more questions about student life at Reading!

Best of luck,
Millie 🙂
