Student finance funding

I studied for a year and switched course as it wasn’t for me. I’ve now finished first year on my course but have struggled with some personal things in my 2nd year and I want to repeat this year as it’s affecting my studies.
I’m wondering if this is going to impact my student finance, as it will be my 4th year at uni - will I even get funding for it??
Do you have any evidence of compelling personal reasons for repeating the year?

Have you spoken to your university? Repeat years aren’t optional, they’re strictly managed by assessment regulations and only allowed if approved by an exam /progression board
