i'm an international student and have a great passion for eastern european studies itself. however, i am wondering whether SSEES course from UCL provides a decent quality of job opportunity in UK or eastern europe.

You would need to research the career prospects, availability and job requirements. I would keep a more open mind on career prospects though, a language can be helpful in just about everything.
