Hello,
I am having a difficult time understanding what is happening to my student finance application. I will make it into a short story. I am in my first year of university ( did Foundation Year before) and I re-applied last summer for SF before I started my year in November. Got it approved for both tuition and maintenance loan. Last year I started working through agency for a warehouse and every week I had to be contacted from my agency to tell me if I'm needed at work or not. In July, the warehouse stopped asking the agency for people to come to work as they had a slow down in orders. I still have the contract with the agency that states that I am working and I will physically go to work when the warehouse requests. I received 2 payments of tuition and maintenance loan and I was asked to re-submit my proof of work to quality for migrant worker as I am on presettle status until the beginning of 2026 when I can apply for settle status. I sent proof of my contract with the agency, a work letter, payslips and additionally I sent proof that I am looking for more work together with my city jobcentre. I just got a response that I am not working as much as I should and I should send a form EU24N to them with all my details. Now I don't see my application for SF I made last summer and I was told I am being transferred to EU student finance or something like this. This is what I was told by the agent as I wasn't even notified of this change. What am I supposed to do now? Where can I see this transfer and what will I get? I just started my second semester this week also. I am generally very confused about this whole situation, moreover because when looking on SF page on migrant worker, it tells that even if you work through agency or you lost your job, you can still be financed.
PS. I wasn't called into work since last July and I am actively looking for work, had interviews but no one wants to hire me as my university days are in the middle of the week and most jobs require 37+ hours from Monday to Friday which i cannot do.
