Southampton changing course

I have Southampton as my firm for aerospace engineering but not really sure if I should do aerospace or physics. Would it be possible for me to do 1 year of aerospace engineering and then switch to physics?
Hello @Physicsoraero,

That's good to hear that you have Southampton as your firm choice!

Here is a link to the policy for transferring courses. Are you planning to attend a visit day for offer holders? This may be helpful, as you would be able to ask staff members about this and get a better feel for both of the courses.

If you choose to study physics, you are able to take a minor in an unrelated subject, which might be an option for you.

When deciding which course to choose, it might be useful to consider:

Your career plans

Your strengths and interests

Opportunities available, e.g. placements, study abroad, etc...

The course syllabus

You can find all the course information on the university website.

Good luck with your decision and let me know if you have any other questions!
