Nottingham Accom help

Hi I need advice on what accom to pick. I'm planning to do Finance, Accounting and Management with a Year in placement degree. I want an accom that's quiet and preferably study orientated but still close enough to the school for walking or maybe even bus. Does any1 have any suggestions. Thank you.

Hi I did the same degree and graduated last year, it depends on your preferences and a number of other factors. Do you want to be catered or self-catered? Do you want an en-suite? Do you want a double bed or single bed? Would you like to be in uni halls or private accom? I stayed on jubilee campus in Newark hall for a bit and also in Nottingham two. If you have any questions please feel free to DM me!

Some of the Halls have quiet living blocks, if you look on the accommodation section of the website there's info about which halls offer this so you could apply for one of these. The accommodation chat help is also.worth contacting as they'll becable to advise which Halls offer this.

I'm planning to do Finance, Accounting and Management with a Year in placement degree, are lectures typically at Jubilee campus or the University Park Campus?
Thank you.

All of my lectures were on jubilee. Maybe some optional modules are at UP but all of mine were in jubilee.

Hey, you said you stayed in Newark hall, how was it? Was the social life good and was it diverse, it says its both self catered and catered so what was that like for you. Just overall how was your experience!! Thanks

Honestly my experience wouldn’t be a fair representation as I stayed there almost 5 years ago during covid😅. Back then it was a fully catered accom and social life was terrible cuz of social distancing etc. it was very diverse though. I’d say overall the social life on jubilee campus halls isn’t as good as university park halls. The biggest advantage is that it’s on jubilee campus so no more than a 5 min walk to lectures and seminars if you’re in the business school, compsci, education etc.

There were lots of Covid restrictions while I was there so socially it was very dead and I wouldn’t be surprised if it still is a bit dead. I do think they’ve renovated a bit since I was there though. Best thing for me is it was right next to Lidl and JD Gyms and very close to jubilee campus.
