Hello,
My best advice is to go with your gut instinct, go where feels best. This is what I did and I have never looked back.
Leicester is extremely friendly and the Law school have connections with many solicitor firms and barrister chambers. Our lecturers are often subject experts, one previously working for the government research group and we also have a few practising and qualified lawyers who do a substantial amount of teaching. Many of the Leicester Law academics have also written the textbooks we use, which are in many cases leading textbooks and so you really are being given a state of the art education.
As well as the law society which hosts loads of competitions, careers talks etc we also have the pro bono society which is amazing. I work in the Legal Advice Clinic which provides me with valuable skills and experience in the practical side of law.
I hope this helps and if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to let me know.
