Basically the WH Smiths name will disappear from the high street after the high street stores where brought out.

Bit baffling that they're changing the name. Like I don't think the name is why those shops were not financially successful...
Apparently they're keeping the ones with post offices in them I guess my local one will stay but change name?

I agree with a lot of the comments that their business model has simply sucked in recent years, massively overpriced and they don't sell anything you can't get elsewhere, likely within a few mins walk.

i would buy lottery tickets and newspapers there but everything else is available cheaper elsewhere

It’s sad. It’s sad to see their stores close down too.

One of the only things they are good for is the good selection of magazines (some of which you cant always get elsewhere).
