Enquiry regarding post-graduation admission for the exception case

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Khushbu Panchal. I have been living in the UK for the past 2 years and 2 months. I was granted Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) under the Domestic Violence concession.

I have completed my Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in India and I am now looking to apply for postgraduate study at your university. I would like to understand:

Whether I would be classified as a home student or international student for tuition fee purposes, based on my current immigration status and length of residency in the UK.
Whether I would be eligible for student finance (tuition and/or maintenance loan), considering my ILR status under the Domestic Violence route.
I would be grateful for any guidance or information you can provide regarding my fee status and funding options.

Thank you for your time and support.

Kind regards,
Khushbu Panchal

Hi Khushbu,

You'd need to speak to your university regarding the fees for them to determine the category you fit under and the amount.

You wouldn't need the three year residency if you have this status - so you should be eligible for the funding - as long as you don't already hold a postgraduate qualification or have studied one previously. If this is for a course beginning in September 25 then these applications will go live later in the spring. Thanks, Jason
