A-level Chemistry Question/Help - Electrochemical Cells

In an electrochemical cell, how would a current flow lead to non-standard conditions and give an inaccurate reading for an E cell value? Like what happens if a high resistance voltmeter was NOT used?

To avoid problems in determining the cell E value, it is necessary to use a high resistance voltmeter (usually > 10 MΩ) also called a high impedance volmeter. This keeps the voltage drop across the internal resistance low compared to the open-circuit cell voltage.
The internal resistance of a traditional volmeter causes a voltage drop that can cause inaccuracies, so accuracy will depend on a high resistance voltmeter.
