LLM : Sheffield or Bristol or Nottingham or Warwick or Surrey or QMUL or UCL

Hi TSR members,
I am an international student who has applied to LLM programs at all the above universities. I have received offers for all of them except UCL (fingers crossed).
There is not a lot of information available other than university marketing and rankings(which I understand are not very accurate or realistic) and I was wondering which LLM program would be best ? If I get into UCL I will probably go for UCL, but not sure about the others. I am interested in a good learning experience with small class sizes and lots of discussions - so QMUL I might have to pass on, as I have read student reviews about very large class sizes which are not ideal for learning.
Would really appreciate some advice thanks.

Hi rsiri,

It's great to hear you are considering the university of Sheffield!

At Sheffield, the LLM course is taught through a combination of seminars and lectures and, although I have done different courses, I have found that the seminar classes are not too big. Your course sounds great, especially how you have the opportunity to choose different modules that interest you, and get involved with conferences and research seminars, many of which involve visiting experts from the UK and overseas, as well as staff from the School of Law.

Sheffield is also a great city to live and there's so much to do here!

Please let me know if you have any other questions, or you can chat to other student ambassadors on the course here.

All best wishes,
Phoebe
