Guidance on relocation to UK after completing CBSE class 10 in India

Hi All,
My son has written CBSE class 10 exams in India in March month this year 2025 and planning to relocate to UK.
We will receive the marks in the month of May 2025.

He is going to turn age 16 years on 14th July 2025.

Can someone kindly help us with the process of moving to UK education system?

Do we need to get the ECCTIS check for equivalency and grade conversion?

Do they admit directly to A levels based on CBSE class 10 marks? Or Is it better to study GCSE year 11?

Also suggest some good schools and areas in London.

Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hiya, I might not be of much help but I can try.You will not need to do the ECCTIS check since it is only for people with university degrees as such. Also have you already shifted? Since then it might be easier to find schools good for you.

@LimeLemon thanks for the response. How do the schools map CBSE class 10 to GCSE ? We will shift in two months to London.

Hi again, sorry I am not very sure about the education system in London as I am from Scotland myself. You could try and enquire to the schools themselves as they might be of better help. But I would suggest grammar schools might be better of since they are more well known.
