Hello i have my a level exams soon for my a levels, for a level sociology and English literature im stuck between c and ds and was wondering if i have enough time to change it to BB or possibly even an a,for my third subject btec applied law ive gotten distinctions throughout so ive basically secured distinction star,so i can pretty much focus on my essay based a levels in which i want to jump up my grades,im quite good at remembering content but my revision isnt consistent as i rely on what im taught in class and just use that knowledge, what revision techniques should i use to boost my grades up?

I might be able to help you with A-Level English literature. What exam board do you do? I'm only a year 12, but I got a B (18/25) on my first ever mock, and I'm predicted an A.

I can only really speak for Unseen as that's all we've really done but the technique works for all - and the only real difference will be quotes.
My go-to advice is practice papers. My teacher installed the method into us and just made us do paper after paper. I've probably sat through at least 20 Unseen texts by this point - and I think that's probably a low guess too.

The biggest thing he reminds us to do is to refer back to elements of Social and Political protest. CONSTANTLY. Whenever we do an unseen text he makes us analyse solely on the elements. We're constantly reminded that they don't particularly care for word-level analysis at A-level and more so on the connections - hence the constant reference to elements of social and political protest. He always tells us our first paragraph should be on power/powerlessness.

This is just general advice because I don't know your specific circumstance, but I'd be happy to try and answer some specific questions if you had any

I do a different exam board to you (ocr) but my main piece of advice is to practice loads! I'm also yr13 and sitting at a solid A for most of my mocks, and really the only thing that got me here was loads of practice. Do every past paper thats avaliable and figure out a structure to the paragraphs (usually something like point, evidence, analysis and then tack on whatever specific to your exam board like if you need context). You got this!!
