Liverpool uni dentistry/medicine students

Where have you applied or where will you be applying for accommodation? I'm an undergraduate first year student and I'm a little stuck with what to do with accommodation as I don't want it to be far from the school of medicine... Liverpool has sent a link by email after my interview but I feel like the prices are really expensive and surely there's other options? Or should I just suck it up and go with accommodations available through the uni (uni and private providers.) A lot of the uni accommodations I see available on the link are quite far too other than true students...

I’m in the same boat, the uni accommodation provided is so expensive, when looking I’ve seen that the private accommodation seems to be cheaper and better value for money. The St Luke’s view accommodation seemed to be a similar distance to the true students accommodation when I went to look around last week and I think that the true students one seemed more isolated than the St Luke’s view. Also the Kaplan one seems to be quite close to all uni buildings, but that one was more expensive than other private ones I had seen.

I was thinking of just applying to a private accommodation but then got worried and thought what if I get told off bc I'm a 1st year and I shouldn't have applied for there or scammed or what if I'm literally just surrounded by year 2 and onwards students I think I might be overthinking this haha

I get what you mean about the 2nd year thing inn a bit worried about that, if you’re worried about scams and stuff just use the partner providers on Liverpools website and you should be fine

How many weeks would you choose for length of stay at accommodation? Like 44 weeks or 51? Im not too sure how long courses are over the year and when break for summer starts?

I’m probably going to do 44 weeks because I’m not too far away so I can commute if it’s a little short
