Is LGBTQ+ accommodation worth it?

Hiya, I'm looking at different accomodation offers for Bristol University, and am stuck on whether to go for standard or for LGBTQ accom.
For reference, I'm relatively straight passing and am fairly comfortable with myself, as are my friends/family. I wouldn't feel unsafe in standard accom or feel alienated, I don't think.

My main reason for leaning towards it is that I want more of a gateway into the queer scene and to meet more queer people. I've heard some people say this is a pretty valid reason to go for lgbt accom, and that they had great times in their accom.
I wonder though if maybe I shouldn't 'take up an offer' over someone who might need the space more vitally for their well-being.... any thoughts on this from students who have been in lgbt accom?

looking for responses from queer students at the uni or anybody who was in LGBTQ accommodation for their first/second year.

Thanks very much!
