Changed your mind about the uni or courses you have applied to?

Don't worry, clearing is your chance to change your university or course!

After applying and firming my place at university, I changed my mind about the course I wanted to study. I was able to go through clearing to apply for the new course! As I already had my results, I did not have to wait till results day to do this. I applied to BCU first and then added it onto my UCAS once I had an offer. Clearing usually opens in early July for people who already have their results.

Even if you are still waiting for your results, you can start looking at your options now! Use the UCAS website to explore the courses and universities that you are interested in. Try to prepare for results day by deciding on some courses and universities that you want to apply for.

On results day, you'll receive your results and then can go through Clearing if you choose to. It's as simple as checking if your chosen course is available and picking up the phone to apply.

Remember that if you have already changed your mind, you can explore your options through UCAS Extra before Clearing Opens.

Let me know if you have any questions about changing your course or uni in clearing!

If people have changed their mind now, they would be better off looking at UCAS Extra options rather than Clearing.

And if its a course change at the same Uni, you can just call that Uni and ask them - you dont need to go anywhere near either Extra or Clearing.
