UCAS extra personal statement

So I originally wrote a child nursing statement as that was what I wanted to do and applied to other universities however I recently discovered that is not my passion and I want to pursue a career in primary education. I want to apply for a degree in primary education via Extra UCAS would i need a new personal statement ? Would this be a disadvantage

If you apply via UCAS Extra, you don't get the opportunity to change your personal statement. UCAS will simply forward your original one with your application. Given that your current personal statement presumably makes little (if any) reference to primary education, this may put you at a disadvantage.

What's probably worth doing is contacting the admissions team directly, explaining that you've changed tack in terms of your chosen degree, and offering to send a separate personal statement directly to them. Some universities are happy to accept alternative personal statements like this, although not all are.

It makes quite a few references as I talk about good qualities about myself, shows that I am well educated and I talk about my work experience in a school.
