Lancaster or Exeter

I've firmed Exeter for Accounting and Finance but recently i've been having second thoughts and wondering whether doing Economics at Lancaster is a better option. It hasn't been 14 days so there is still time to change it. Which university and course is better purely for employer reputation. I appreciate any help.

It depends what you want to do in the future. If you want to be an accountant you'll probably get more exemptions from the A&F course (which can save you from doing extra costly examinations). Dunno about employer rep, I would have thought they're about the same. Not an expert tho so don't take my word for it

Is A+F easier than economics?

Not sure what you mean by easier because that's subjective. Economics has a lot more maths involved though.

Is the maths more stats or pure or mechanics? If it’s pure or mechanics I might pick it but if it’s a lot more stats then…

I'm only an applicant so not in uni yet but from the modules I've read it about its pure/stats, no mechanics. If you don't like stats you may not enjoy econometrics modules...

Hi @Ted Buggle
Whilst i don't study economics at Lancaster, I can say that the university itself has a really good reputation and there is lots of support from the careers service at Lancaster in terms of finding graduate employment.
Have you looked at the differences between the modules you will be studying, as the different courses although in the same field may be taught differently at each university.
If you have anymore questions about Lancaster, feel free to ask!
