When should i start revising for my y10 mocks?

Hi - I'm doing my Y10 mocks the first 2 weeks of June.

I'm just wondering when I should start revising and how much a day? I've never had revise for loads of subjects at once before.

Im a Grade 7+ student for every lesson but to get those grades i have to revise at home for end of topic tests (for about an hour or two)

revising for a few hours a day should be perfectly alright and revising as soon as possible is best

True though. You have to revise 24/7 to be successful.

Hi @cameronschool,

Sounds like you’re already doing really well if you’re getting 7s and above, especially with consistent revision for topic tests, that’s a solid habit to have already.

Since your mocks are in the first 2 weeks of June, I’d say you could start right about now in mid April, that would give you plenty of time without burning out. That way you can ease into it and don’t have to suddenly cram loads of subjects all at once.

At the start, maybe do around an hour or two a day, just going over topics you feel a bit shaky on or haven’t looked at in a while. Then in May, you can start ramping it up a bit maybe 2 to 3 hours a day, depending on how you’re feeling. Closer to the mocks, you can up it a little more if you want, but don’t overdo it quality over quantity for sure!

But honestly, you’re clearly motivated and already used to revising, so you’re in a great place. Mocks are a learning experience more than anything, so just use them to figure out what works best for you.

Rooting for you!
