Transferring from OU to Brick for year 3

Has anyone got experience of this? How hard is it to do? I'm just not happy about continuing with the OU anymore and I feel like a physical tutor would work much better for me. I'm going to call them in the morning, but I'd like an idea of what I'm in for when I apply.

How many years of study have you done at OU to complete 240 credits?

What subject is your degree in?

Transfers into year 3 of any university (aside from OU) are fairly rare. Generally universities will only offer it where they have an existing articulation agreement with local colleges or where students are exceptionally high achievers. It’s a big risk for students - you’re joining a group of students who have studied together for 2 years so there’s a social challenge, the background modules and topics of the 2 degrees are likely to be different so there’s a risk of gaps in your knowledge, assessment and marking systems are different so getting good results from the start of the year is a challenge - and your entire degree classification is based on your results for that single year. If you don’t settle well, struggle with the content or assessment or just don’t get particularly good results in your first modules then a student that was previously on track for a 2:1 can end up scraping a pass degree.

I'm finishing my second year in June. My degree is in English lit and creative writing. The uni I've applied to take 2nd and 3rd year student transfers.
