Economics or Maths

I am a year 12 student and since the start of sixth form I have been consistently wanting to do economics at uni. However, I recently have started to realise that I think I may prefer maths as a degree. I am doing maths, further maths, economics and geography for a level so my subjects are fine. I would still like to get into a good univeristy for the subject though and I fear it may be too late to achieve that. Do you think I should start swapping my focus?

To add, I am pretty confident I could receive A*s predicted for both maths and further maths

Maths.

Its a requirement for many degree subjects and will leave so many more doors open to you.
And you dont actually ned A level Economics for an Economics degree - but you will need Maths.

Both options you have here are really good degrees, so it’s probably best to just pick the one you enjoy more. If you are getting A*s in maths and further maths, then it shouldn’t be too late to achieve a good university for either subject.

If you really can’t decide between them, a lot of universities offer joint degrees in both maths and economics. This would also be a very good choice, as it allows you to keep your options open for even longer.

Yeah I was thinking about that. Thanks for the advice.
