advice on access courses

hi new here 27 yo male and im currently applying for a few courses to get back into education after over 8 years away from it. I'm applying for computing for the economy, biological sciences and sociology/psychology. I would like some advice on what people know about these courses and which one might be a better option to pursue?

Hi @Chronocurt,

It is great to hear you are looking to return to education.

Is there a particular degree subject you are looking to progress on to?

Some degrees require previous study of a relevant subject. Therefore, this might influence what subject area you study your access course in. However, some degree don't require previous study of a particular subject. In this case any subject could be considered and so I would encourage you to look at what access course you have the most interest in. People usually achieve higher marks in subjects they enjoy the most.

If there is a particular university you are looking to study at, you could contact them directly to enquire what access courses they would look for.

I hope this helps
