advice needed about alternative course offer

got offered an alternative course for bristol - english or history - as i got rejected for their law course. very upset and a little shocked as i'm predicted three A*s and got a 28 in my lnat, not sure what else i could have done but oh well! i've got an offer from edinburgh to study global law which was my hypothetical second choice and is what i'm considering now but not sure if i should apply for english via bristol's alternative course offer as i don't really think the edi course is best suited for me. either way i'm not going to be doing a qualifying law degree and i'm not going to reapply for law next year as the whole process has really made me lose a lot of faith and confidence. was already thinking about gap year after rejection number two but would only be to apply for english lit anyways. advice would be greatly appreciated - aka firm it and go with edinburgh, go for the bristol alternative offer, or take a gap year. i'm hoping to do law in the future post-uni and everyone i've spoken to that does law now has told me it doesn't matter either way what degree i do

Think very seriously over doing a gap year for 1 or 2 uni. It doesn't worth.

Don't be upset, Bristol law is heavily oversubscribed and every year lots of talented youngsters got rejected for no reason (intense competition or not as strong as other applicants).

There is no reason to compromise if law is your passion and you got offer from the highly reputable Edinburgh. Edinburgh is a very good uni for law and is certainly not inferior to, if not better than, Bristol. The only concern maybe it us a 4-year curriculum.

Tricky one! I rate Edinburgh as a university and city above Bristol, but the Global Law course looks a tad meh. So maybe English Literature at Bristol and then do a PGDL.
