Rokos Capital Management degree apprenticeship

I can see lots of talk about other degree apprenticeships but none about RCM. Is anyone else here applying there?

The fact that the previous apprentices they’re taken on all attend a certain school tells me all I need to know. Not even going to bother.

What's the school and what's bad about it?

It’s not a bad school, it’s LAE. RCM are partnered with them, I just don’t think it’s fair that mainly candidates from that school are selected. It’s biased.

LAET is an outstanding school with hardworking students from different backgrounds. RCM created the whole DA to promote these highly educated students to gain experience from places you don't normally do. No offense you're being a bit petty.

You completely missed the whole point of what I said.
I agree LAE is a top performing school, no hate to them at all. I just pointed out the simple fact that the current apprentices have been coincidentally selected from LAE & RCM is partnered with them.
Your whole comment is such a reach, relax. Enlighten me as to how I’ve discredited anyone from LAE and said they’re undeserving of an apprenticeship with RCM? I made an observation and you’re being defensive.

They literally started it because a student from there recommended it to them mate 💀 otherwise it wouldn't have been there in the first place.

Since they are partnered with the school, the DA was only open to LAET students. Only this year have they started reaching outside of LAET, so you saying it's "biased" is a bit of a stretch when you don't know the full reason.

My apologies for assuming you were coming at the students.

Okay, and my point still stands. It was still an objective observation.
To an external candidate, a company only taking students from one school does in fact come across as bias, regardless of your reason. If I wasn’t referred for the role, I wouldn’t have even know it existed. Wasn’t really advertised at all which I found weird.
You made a whole issue out of nothing.

I get where you’re coming from - but since RCM and LAET are partnered, it makes sense they’d start with their students + if they already know the staff too and the students from visits etc. I do agree, though, it’s weird that the opportunity wasn’t advertised more.

Didn't mean to make a big deal, but I personally think it’s a little more nuanced than it seems and not everything is black and white.

In the assessment centre, there were 9 of us, 3 of whom were from LAE. I got an offer and I go to George Green's School, so it isn't just from LAE
