Withdrawing and retaking final year

I am final year undergrad computer science. I'm thinking of withdrawing from my course now and retake it next year. But will it affect my grades or would they be capped, regarding student finance and what other things that could be affected, any info will helpful and appreciated. Thanks

That would depend on both the reason for you wanting to do this, and the university you're at (as they have different rules and regulations). Given where you've posted this, you're presumably at Brunel?

If you have some family emergency to deal with (or similar) you can speak to your university about suspending your studies. Or do you actively need to retake modules you've already done, and already have results for, because you're not happy with those results?
