Medicine offer requires a pass in biology and chemistry practicals

My daughter got 3 offers for medicine and one of the offer require for her to have pass in chemistry and biology practicals. When I start to look in to this i release that most medical schools do require this. The thing is that her school has only done 8 practicals so far out of 12 , also she has never been told by her school if is she on track to pass the practicals. I am so worried as she has worked so hard and on track to achieve 4A* and if now she will loose her place in university just because they haven’t done all the practicals it would be so upsetting.
Does anyone know anything about how this works ?

Hi, my school only recently just finished our practicals, she could ask a science teacher when they are looking to finish? Schools generally tell students when they have missing criteria left to complete on the last 2 or so practicals so they can work hitting the criteria for the remaining practicals. I would say the best thing to do for her to ask one of the teachers and check what she has left to do.

Thank you so much, yes she has now emailed her teachers and ask about it .I just find it weird as they never mentioned anything about the practical work in parents evening or anything. Would have thought that they would at least say something if she is not on track for example. She is in very good school lots of kids got in to medicine so I should assume they know what they are doing but then again you never know .

I wouldn’t stress it. Practicals are a requirement for the full a level so I’m sure the teachers are on it. My teachers never mentioned it in a parents evening either. I wish her best of luck for the alevels!
