Lancaster(B.S of math and eco) vs Australian national university (B.S of statistic)

In the future, I plan to get a Phd degree in the fields of data science, statistic, now I have two offers, B.S of math and eco(Lancaster) and B.S of statistic (not honors)(ANU), which can better contribute to my academic goal? thanks for replying

Hi @Gnamid
Congratulations on your offers!
I've been studying at Lancaster for 4 years now, doing both my undergraduate degree and masters here, and i can say that the switch between undergraduate degrees to postgraduate at Lancaster has been pretty straight forward.
I would recommend looking at the modules you would take on both of the courses at the different universities and see which modules intrested you more, as its important to enjoy your undergraduate degree and pick modules your intrested in, as you will most likely do better in the subject.

@Lancaster Student Ambassador thanks for replying, I wonder if there are rich scientific research opportunities for undergraduate, I want to get into a lab, doing research with supervisor, so that I can publish papers and get valuable experiences which can contribute to my postgraduate and Phd application.

Hi @Gnamid
The main research opportunity in undergraduate degrees is the dissertation which is commonly completed in 3rd year, where you select a topic your intrested in exploring further, and get assigned a supervisor who can help guide your research. Dependent on your research project this may include lab work.
Alternatively, there are summer internships available in some departments to work alongside academics over summer on their research, however these are highly competitive.
