Why would someone take a picture of me in public?

I was sat in a park by uni just minding my own business and a bloke who looked about 70 walked past carrying a camera by his side and pretty blatantly took a photo of me with the flash on 💀

I love to know what possible reason someone could have for doing this lol? I doubt it was a pervert thing seeing as I was fully clothed and just sat on a bench. I dress slightly weird but not to the point it warrants photographing me, especially not in a big city. Now I’m paranoid I’m far more weird looking than I thought I was. Literally what would be a reason to take a picture of a stranger who isn’t doing anything unusual in public.

He was holding the camera at his side as he walked and it was a camera not a phone lol, my thoughts are some sort of "street photography" thing, still weird though

A combination of alternative and just really overdressed for a normal day lol, like loads of dark makeup and loads of jewellery, and been really fond of 4-6 inch stiletto heels recently, I'm accustomed to stares but photography is pushing it 💀

Maybe, but what can he really get from a fully dressed woman reading a book on a park bench 💀

taking photos is kind of a complicated thing. i used to compete in gymnastics so got photographed millions of times from that, yet if someone randomly took one of me in the street now id first be paranoid that my skirt had fallen off or something, or my kids were doing something that made me out to be a bad mum, then id be curious as to why. actually id probably of asked him why he took it, but thats just me.
