Samsung neo g7 or neo g8 32inch

I need a new monitor and am thinking of one of these. I primarily game on PS4/5 sometimes PS3 and pc but my pc isn't anything crazy it's very average. I also would use it a lot for uni work and productivity purposes. Which one should I go for?

There's multiple variations of G7 and G8, have you got links to the particular models you're deciding between?

I'd personally go for the G7. It's a fully featured display with the resolution and refresh rate to be able to play PS5 games in either performance or fidelity mode, and a great IPS panel with that mini LED backlighting I keep harping on about for drastically better contrast and HDR performance than monitors lacking that technology. The G8 is an iterative improvement on that with primarily an even brighter backlight as the key improvement, but it won't represent the same sort of jump that going from a non-mLED to mLED screen is, and it's not enough of a jump to justify an extra 20% price hike. Beyond that it's likely the same base panel without any other killer features or functionality over the G7.
For £759 I think you'd get more long-term enjoyment out of the G7 and a better audio solution, or even just £150 of new fun games to play, than you would out of the G8.
