Can I swap degrees at Edinburgh Uni

I have been given an unconditional offer to study (under grad) Global Law at Edinburgh uni but really want to study Law but was rejected. Would I potentially be able to start a global law degree and swap i.e ask on results day or do a semester of global law whilst trying to take law modules and then request a switch? Or is this completely delusional thinking?
Thank you!

Hi, I'll be honest I have no idea - but I really want to do global law - how did you manage to get an unconditional offer?! What were your predicted grades/super curriculars ect, any advice would be so helpful

Hiya,
So at Nat 5/S4 I got:AAAABBD
Then at Higher/S5 I got: AAAAA in English, Maths, History, Modern Study’s and Politics.
I’m current in S6 and am sitting Advanced Higher English and History with a prediction of I think 2B’s then three more highers: P.E, RMPS and Geography which I’m predicted 3 more A’s for.
Personally I live in a rural area so there’s not lots of super curriculars however I wrote about my experiances competing for Scotland at a sport, Gold DofE and my roles within my school (head girl and sports ambassador).
Now I know that may seem a lot but I have friends who have got in with less (different courses tho). What I would recommend is for highers take what you think you will get A’s in. I crashed two subjects in S5 because i struggled with German and Physics at Nat 5 and knew for me personally it would be better to take all the socials instead. And drop German/physics. With that being said you NEED to do higher English and ideally one or two other essay based subject. I also believe it’s good to illustrate a STEM subject but again my friend got into geography with just Nat 5 maths and no sciences at all so it is possible.
Regarding extra curricular I read a couple books which I bought into my p.s for the why part. These weren’t even “law” books because I went from the angle of human rights so it was bibliography’s/autobiography’s about people’s experiences on different places across the globe. So think about your why and just try link everything to it so it has a coherent flow.
Any other questions feel free to ask and good luck!!

Hi, I also am wanting to switch courses at Edinburgh and they said they will take any requests in welcome week if you meet the entry requirements.
