National Gas degree apprenticeship 2025

Hi all,

Thought it would be worth connecting with anyone else applying for the National Gas degree apprenticeship. Applications closed last month so I’ll admit I’m a little worried that I’ve been rejected so soon so not sure what’s going on.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

Have you applied for the Electrical and Instrumentation graduate apprenticeship? If so, have you been invited for a solo interview?

I also applied for a degree apprenticeship I did the online solo interview on the 21st of March and haven’t heard anything back yet. They did say the final assessment would be in the first weeks of April but I checked my application and it says In progress as off 27/03/2025.

I mean you can try contacting them i have emailed them 4 times, seems a bit much however in the span of a month it was spread evenly so i didnt spam email them i did it evenly.
I think for careers you could try
[email protected]
Or for early careers you could try
[email protected].
Hope this helps.

They haven’t responded to a single email, however they are probably busy and are probably not replying to any candidates emails. All I can really do now is wait. I submitted my virtual interview on 19 march so its been a month now however my application still says in progress and says 27/03/2025.

I think that being in progress from the 27th is a good sign. I suppose it means they saw your virtual solo interview and possibly you passed to the next stage. Maybe you haven’t heard from them yet because, as you said, they’re busy.

Hopefully that's the case. But after this stage what happens next like do you know what the next stages are. It says assessments will be held in April but when it says assessments do they mean interviews or another sort of test.

I had the same doubt when I received the invitation for the virtual solo interview. The job ad clearly said the final stage would be an in-person interview, but the email mentioned an 'assessment,' which felt a bit unclear. Also, the email said they would share details with successful candidates closer to the time and asked us to keep that in mind as we went through the process. I might be wrong, but so far it seems no one has been updated, especially those who may have been rejected. That makes it hard to know whether I should keep preparing. I understand graduate apprenticeship processes can be competitive and attract a high number of candidates, but personally, I also assess the companies I apply to, regardless of what is stated about their values and culture on their website.

The thing with these apprenticeships from national gas is that I believe they we’re not promoted properly and also they extended the deadline of the apprenticeship from 9 march to 16 which shows they may not have received a lot of applicants so they extended the deadline. Also the most important thing is that its been over a month since applications and as you said your unsure if you should keep preparing which makes sense as it would be pointless if you are rejected. Ive also looked everywhere across TikTok youtube google and linkedin on this apprenticeship however I cannot seem to find anything. The only information on LinkedIn is the apprenticeship advertisement and nothing more. So honestly I also might be wrong but I don't think this apprenticeship was advertised properly.
If you receive any updates do let us know.

Nope not yet. Have you had your virtual solo interview?? Because your situation is a bit different and you said yours says recruiter review.
